Soledad

Solitude

the way it’s spelled as my mothers middle name

with swirls as alluring as its own naive indifference to itself

Solitude

as it rolls over

smooth

off the tongue

as full as closure

as thick as my breath which i hold

gripping to, pleading with

the Solitude i know

show yourself to me

as the truest, deepest love you know that i have ever been shown

look me in the eyes

behind the illusion of reflection

rid me of this burden

let me look to you

Solitude
